Those mad scientists over at Xbox have finally done it. Today, Xbox announced that the Xbox Cloud Gaming beta is coming to both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, supporting 1080p 60FPS for all consoles.
In doing this, Xbox has given the Xbox one a new lease on life as the console will play Xbox Series X|S games on the games. Meaning, upcoming games like Forza Horizon 5 and current games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, The Medium, and more, thanks to the power of the cloud.
This is exciting news for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S owners. Not only are they getting access to an amazing library of games. But for those who haven’t been able to pick up an Xbox Series X|S but do own an Xbox One. Now they don’t need to worry, as they’ll be able to play Xbox Series X|S games on the Xbox One – in the future.
Now, we knew this was coming as Xbox had teased this a while ago, and they’ve been making steps toward this. Most recently was providing PC access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, which was just a few weeks ago. Now the Xbox consoles have access to Xbox Cloud Gaming.
I still happen to have my Xbox One X, so I’ll be giving this a try later on and will provide some impressions on how this works. So stay tuned for that.
