Well, there you go. No more wondering if Horizon Forbidden West would be released this year or if it would skip until 2022. Guerrilla Games has officially confirmed that Horizon Forbidden West has been delayed to February 18th, 2022.
Pre-orders for the game will begin on September 2nd, 2021. I’d imagine at the time we’ll likely see several different variants of the game, including collectors of a limited edition.

Well, that’s one less game to worry about being released this year. And while I’m saddened about the delay, it just means that Guerrilla will have even more time to make the game nothing less than amazing. If I’m being honest, I was hoping the game would be delayed. There are way too many games being released towards the end of this year. Now once 2020 rolls around, we’ll have plenty of time to enjoy this gem without rushing through it.
Horizon Forbidden West releases on February 18th, 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
