But just for a limited time.
Just announced today, Square Enix is offering a F2P period of Marvel’s Avengers for the PlayStation, PC, and Stadia. Starting on July 29th up to August 1st, anyone on those platforms will be able to download the game and play it for as long as they want. No strings attached. Once the F2P period is over, and should you decide to purchase the full game, your progress will carry over to the full game.
This is an all-access F2P period, meaning everything that has been released Marvel’s Avengers will be playable; The epic Reassemble campaign, the ongoing Avengers Initiative, and the Kate Bishop and Hawkeye Operations.
Currently, this is just for the PS4, PS5, PC, and Stadia, while the Xbox will get its own F2P period at an unannounced time.
It certainly looks like Square Enix is trying to drum up some hype for Marvel’s Avengers ahead of the release of the next expansion, Black Panther — War for Wakanda. Scheduled for release during August 2021, I’d be lying if I wasn’t looking forward to the Black Panther expansion. My own concern is that my time with Marvel’s Avengers wasn’t fantastic, and I dropped the game early on. I didn’t even return for the Hawkeye DLC. So I’m conflicted, but I’ll definitely give it a try when it drops.
As for the F2P period, if you haven’t tried Marvel’s Avengers but maybe wanted to but didn’t want to drop the cash on it. Now will be the perfect time to see what the game is all about.
