I bet you that whoever said that Persona games wouldn’t sell well on the PC is eating those words right about now. Yesterday, it was reported via the Atlus Fiscal Year financial statement that the PC version of Person 4 Golden had sold over 900,000 copies as of March 31st, 2021. That’s a lot of copies for a game that was held hostage on the now-dead but still remarkable handheld console, the PS Vita.
Following the report, Atlus West had announced that the game had surpassed the numbers in the financial report and had sold over 1,000,000 copies ever since the game had been released. We’re talking about an eight-year-old game that managed to sell that many copies in a year – that’s really amazing to me.
It was announced that Persona 4 Golden was headed to the PC during the 2020 PC Gaming Show.
And if you happened to have missed out on Persona 4 Golden, it’s currently available on Steam right now with a 35% discount. That’s just $13 for one of the best JRPG experiences ever created – jump on that deal.

That’s awesome news for Atlus West, and I’m glad the company decided to take that risk and bring Persona 4 Golden over to the PC. Since then, we’ve also seen the release of Persona 5 Strikers, which was released in the West on February 23rd, 2021. With the success of both games on the platform, I’d imagine it’s just a matter of time before we see Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal also make its way to the PC.
Right, Atlus? Right?
