Just when you thought the content for Minecraft Dungeons was over and done, they announce a new DLC and pull you back in. Today, Mojang has announced a new DLC for Minecraft Dungeons called “Echoing Void,” which will be the sixth DLC released for the title.
In this final DLC, players will be taken to The End, the home of the Enderman. This time, we’ll be taking the fight to them instead of them finding ways to make our lives miserable. According to the official Minecraft blog, this DLC will also be the final arc for this round of content. While it seems like this is it for MinecraftDungeons, it was carefully worded that this is only the end of the existing arc and more content is on the horizon.
The release date for Minecraft Dungeons Echoing Void is July 28th, 2021, and the DLC will be made available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. It will be available via Xbox Game Pass, the Minecraft Dungeon’s Season Pass, or you can purchase the DLC separately. Honestly, if you haven’t played any of the Minecraft Dungeon’s DLC, the Season Pass is just $20 and includes the prior five DLC — I’d recommend picking that up.
A free update will be released on July 28th, alongside the Echoing Void DLC, called The Gaunlet of Gales. New and powerful enchantments will be provided to players, and a new maze-like mission called the Gauntlet of Gales will test players with tricky trials and perplexing puzzles. Sounds like my kind of fun.
In addition to the DLC news, the Minecraft Dungeon Ultimate Edition has also been revealed. This version includes all the previous released DLC, the base game and will supposedly cost less than if you acquired everything separately. Currently, there’s no price for Minecraft Dungeon’s Ultime Edition. However, it will be released on July 28th, 2021, along with the Echoing Void DLC.
