    Kadokawa Unveils 3D CG Anime Studio

    Kadokawa has created a 3D CG anime studio by the name of Studio Kadan. Hiroyuki Seshita is serving as the Vice President for the new studio and has previously worked with Polygon Pictures titles such as Ajin, Knights of Sidonia, Blame!, and Levius.

    Takeshi Kikuchi is serving as the studio’s president as well as its representative director. It is reported that Kadokawa holds a 97.5% stake in the company.

    The main focus of Studio Kadan will be to produce cel-shaded 3D anime titles using XR modeling, projection mapping, visual effects normally used for live-action films, as well as CG techniques currently used in video games.

    As of now, no titles have been announced for the studio.
