One of the best Transformers movies ever created, the Transformers Animated movie, is getting the 4K treatment.
Announced during today’s Hasbro Transformers Fan First Friday, we’re finally getting a 4K Bluray of the movie that most of us grew up with. And yes, it means we’ll have to watch Optimus Prime die all over, but this time in glorious 4K.
Pre-orders will begin on May 24th, 2021, via Shoutfactory. This release will include a limited edition steelbook, with cover art by Matt Furgerson and bonus lithographs. I haven’t seen any mention of this over on the official Shoutfactory website at the time of this article, but I’ll keep a watch and let everyone know when the pre-order link goes up.
I’ve been a Transformers fan ever since Santa Claus dropped off my very first ones, and this release will go right alongside my Transformers: The Movie Limited Edition 20th and 30th Anniversary copies.
