Nier went from being a fairly unknown franchise to being one of the hottest titles in all of gaming. With the stellar installments in Nier Automata and Nier Replicant, the floodgates gave surely been open for the series. Fans who are begging for more won’t have to wait long until Nier Reincarnation, the series’ foray into mobile, makes its way to players worldwide.
The new promotional trailer shows off some of the visuals that Nier fans will instantly recognize as well as a bit more of the turn-based combat system. There’s definitely a storybook-like quality to Nier Reincarnation from its side-scrolling format. This may feel like a departure from the franchise but it still looks to keep that signature feeling that has made it a household name.
Pre-registration is now open globally for players who want to get their hands on Nier Reincarnation as soon as it goes live. The game’s official site is also incentivizing players to pre-register in order to unlock access to different tiers of in-game currency that would otherwise cost your precious real-world money.
Nier Reincarnation has been available in Japan since early this year. There is still no date set for a global release but it likely won’t be long until we know for sure given that pre-registration is up and running. iOS and Android users will likely want to check this one out if the other Nier games are any indication of what’s in store here.
