During tonight’s PlayStation 5 China press conference, it was revealed that the console would be released in China on May 15, 2021. Pre-orders for the console will start on April 29th (today). The PlayStation 5 is priced at 3,899 yuan, with the digital version priced at 3,099 yuan.
According to the press release, the China release of the PS5 won’t be any different than the release in other regions. The package will include the PlayStation 5, a DualSense controller, and all the cables needed to connect the console to a TV or monitor.
Accessories will also be available at launch; DualSense Controller priced at 529 yuan, HD Camera priced at 449 yuan, DualSense Charging Station for 229 yuan, and the Pulse 3D Headset at 749 yuan.
Just like everywhere else, the PlayStation 5 will also release with the PlayStation Plus Collection. This collection includes 12 games for existing PlayStation Plus members. However, this line-up is slightly different than what we received in North America.

Here’s to hoping the launch of the PlayStation 5 goes a lot smoother than it did in the States. Or anywhere else, for that matter. Between stores not getting many units and the scalpers, it was…. it still is a warzone out there.
