Resident Evil Village Heads To Google Stadia

Capcom and Google Stadia have announced that Resident Evil Village will be available on Stadia, day one. This good news for Stadia owners, especially since RE: V wasn’t originally slated to make its way to streaming service.

That’s not all, as Resident Evil Gold Edition will be free on April 1st, 2021, for existing Stadia Pro members.

While Stadia hasn’t been turning heads, and with the termination of Google’s own in-house gaming studio, many had expected Stadia to cease to exist. However, that hasn’t been the case, and the addition of Resident Evil Village is yet another example of Stadia still staying relevant.

This also reaffirms the leak that stated that Google had paid Capcom a hefty sum to get both Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village onto Stadia. This is the same leak that stated Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2 would see a PC release, both confirmed by Capcom. This is also the same leak that confirmed that a demo for Resident Evil Village (Maiden) would be released.

While you’re here, be sure to get up to speed on everything related to Resident Evil Village in our “Everything About Resident Evil Village” article.

Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7th, 2021, for PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and now Stadia.
