Today saw the Square Enix Presents event which served as a digital showcase for some of the publisher’s upcoming titles. One of the much-awaited games that we got a first look at was Life is Strange: True Colors.

The fourth game in the extremely popular Life is Strange series was easily one of the highlights of the show and looks to bring even more of the melodrama and special powers that the franchise is known for.
Alex Chen hides her ‘curse’: the supernatural ability to absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others. When her brother dies in a so-called accident, she must embrace her volatile power to find the truth — and reveal dark secrets buried by the town.
Players will take on the role of Alex Chen as she looks to uncover the mystery behind her brother’s death. In keeping with the theme of the series, Alex will have empathic abilities that will allow her to connect with other character’s emotions and see them manifest in variously colored auras. Fans of previous games in the franchise will be happy to see some familiar elements and characters making the jump to this installment. Which has frequently been present in the other games as well and goes to confirm that all of these stories take place in the same universe.
