Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been an actor that many wondered for YEARS who he would be in the superhero universe regardless of whether it would be in the Marvel or DC Universe. Then, when he announced he would the lead in the Black Adam movie, everything changed. This is a movie that has been YEARS in the making in various ways and it was supposed to come out this year before the pandemic ruined things.
But now, The Rock has revealed when Black Adam and his movie is coming, and it’s honestly not too far away in context:

Yep! They blacked out Times Square to reveal that the movie will arrive on July 29th, 2022. And given that the movie starts filming in a few weeks, that’s honestly not too far away from when the filming will be done.

It won’t be the only DC Comics movie in 2022, as The Batman is set to arrive as well as the long-gestating Flash movie with Ezra Miller. So there’s a lot to look forward to and things indeed look to be changing the balance of power in ALL the comic book universes.
