Last year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was canceled due to the pandemic. Without any signs of slowing down, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) stated that it has begun to outline proposals to game publishers for a digital version of this year’s big event.
The outlines contain a format of three days of streaming coverage between June 15-17. Some of the events planned are two-hour keynote sessions, an awards show, and a preview night on June 14. Publishers, influencers, and media partners are also being offered their own streams to fill out the three-day block of programming.
One of the big attractions of E3 are playable game demos and despite the event being virtual, they are laying the groundwork for plans to have playable demos available… except they will be streamed over the internet. and can be accessed by the media.
Let’s just hope that the ESA has learned from its past mistakes and won’t leak the personal information of those who sign up for the event.
