Outriders, the upcoming sci-fi co-op shooter from Square Enix and People Can Fly (Bulletstorm), releases on April 1st. Today, they’ve released the official system requirements for those looking to play the game on the PC.
Looking over these specs, these are quite tame, and anyone who’s purchased or built a PC in the past 5 years or so should be able to play the game with little to no issues. Honestly, I was expecting more just due to recent games requiring a lot more power. Both the minimum and recommended specs have been listed below. As for those looking to play ay 1440p or 4K, those specs haven’t been finalized or release just yet.
In addition to the required specs, there’s a lot more in store for the PC version. As we saw during the recent Nvidia conference, Outriders will support Nvidia’s DLSS, so if you’re rocking an RTX GPU, you’ll be able to take advantage of the tech. Dynamic resolution scaling is also in, as is cross-play support, so you’ll be able to play with those on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X|S. For you ultrawide monitor owners, you’ll be able to take full advantage of all that real estate. Rounding out the features is a customizable UI and extensive graphical adjustment options.
What does this all mean? It means the PC version isn’t going to be just some port, and that excites me!

Outriders was originally scheduled to be released on Feb. 25th, 2021, but has seen been delayed to April 1st, 2021. Instead, a demo will be released on Feb. 25th and a fairly beefy one at that. This demo includes access to all four classes; Devastator, Pyromancer, Technomancer, and Trickster. Single-player and co-op will also be in, and everyone will be able to check out the first few hours of the game. Lastly, all progression from the demo will transfer over to the full game.
