The 2021 AGDQ event is in the books and at the end of it all, the charity event raised $2.75 Million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s week-long speedrunning marathon was performed virtually (as was the 2020 Summer Games Done Quick event). If you missed it, as always, Games Done Quick will be uploading everything to their YouTube channel.
Of course, anything can happen at AGDQ, and history was made at this year’s event as not one but TWO world records were set! Not only that, but those world records were set back-to-back!
The first was set on Sonic 1 on Android by Flying Fox as he posted a time to 13:19 in the “Tails: Beat the Game” category. The second was Sonic 3: Angel Island Revisited on PC by Zaxon96 with a time of 34:24 in the Any% category, which is 9 seconds faster than the previous world record!
You can check out the world record runs below:
If you missed the event and still want to give to a worthy cause, you can head over to the Prevent Cancer Foundation website and donate today!
