Microsoft Flight Simulator turned heads when it’s stunningly accurate world beguiled flight sim fans and interested onlookers alike. The cloud-based terrain generation is already impressive as is but players can immerse themselves even more with the title’s VR update which is out now. The game will support a majority of headsets which include Windows Mixed Reality headsets, Oculus, Valve, and HTC headsets.
The VR implementation is only a portion of the flight simulator’s latest update. One of the other major inclusions is the addition of snow and ice coverage for Live Weather that will lead to more accurate map data. The full list of patches can be found here
The team behind Microsoft Flight Simulator, Asobo Studio, plans to continue supporting the game into the far future with more accurate renders of the UK coming in Februrary of 2021 and the possible inclusion of more aircrafts such as helicopters coming in 2022.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now on PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Game Pass. Xbox Series X|S versions are due to release in 2021
