Blizzard hosted a Fireside Chat where they talked about their upcoming online convention, BlizzConline. The convention, usually held in Anaheim, California, had to move online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the past, Blizzard offered a Virtual Ticket for those who could not attend the event live and usually charged between $40 to $50 for access to the event. With BlizzConline moving entirely online this time around, many wondered just what the price of the event would be.
Much to everyone’s surprise… BlizzConline will be free to watch for all players!
In addition, Blizzard also mentioned that during the pandemic, about 95% of their employees have been working remotely this entire time. Simply mentioning that also lent a bit of an explanation as to why World of Warcraft: Shadowlands had to be delayed from its original release date. The new release date for Shadowlands had been recently announced as November 23.
