Netflix announced today that they have created partnerships with several anime studios! The studios that are now partnered with Netflix are:
- NAX
- Science SARU
- MAPPA
- Studio Mir
As of now, there is no word on if any past shows such as ID:INVADED, Yuri!! on Ice, Japan Sinks 2020 or others will be joining the streaming service. We do know that MAPPA’s Jujutsu Kaisen won’t be any time soon as it is currently licensed as a Crunchyroll Original series. This would lead one to believe that these partnerships will be for future series only.
This is just another step towards expanding their library as Netflix currently has partnerships with Production I.G., Wit Studio, BONES, Anime, Sublimination, and David Production.
