I just want to say that we did call that the Xbox Series X would launch at $499.99. Ok, with that out of the way, yes, Xbox has finally confirmed that the Xbox Series X will retail at $499.99 and will release alongside the Xbox Series S on November 10th, 2020.
Yesterday the Xbox Series S’s price and the release date was leaked, likely forcing Microsoft’s hand. Now you have to wonder if the company was worried about someone else leaking the Xbox Series X news and just decided to go for it. Either way, at least we don’t have to wonder about the price or release date anymore.
In addition to the price and release date, Xbox has also announced that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate would be adding EA Play to the offering. EA Play will be available for BOTH Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC, at no additional cost.
IMPORTANT NEWS YOU SHOULD STOP SCROLLING AND READ IT THANKS
Starting later this year, @EA Play will be included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & @XboxGamePassPC!

That’s not all, as Microsoft will offer both of their next-generation consoles via its Xbox All Access program. For those unfamiliar with the program, this is basically a pay as you play plan for those who either don’t want to fork up the cash all upfront or can’t. Instead, you’ll be able to pay $24.99 a month for either the Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X, as well as a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, for 24 months.
Xbox All Access, for the first time, will be offered in 12 countries, which tells you that Microsoft wants to get as many people owning either the Xbox Series X or Series X as possible.

Both the price and release date for the Xbox Series X, which is big news for everyone looking forward to the consoles’ release. Sure, Microsoft went first again but now at this price point, it’s going to be interesting to see how Sony replies. Will they price the PlayStation at the same price point? Or will they do their own thing and price it possibly higher or uncut Microsoft altogether.
One thing is for sure, now that the Xbox Series X price is out, I doubt we’ll have to wait long before we’ll find out the price of the PlayStation 5.
