The Nintendo Switch has been doing EXTREMELY well in 2020 despite the global lockdown and pandemic that has spread all over. Boosted by titles like Animal Crossing New Horizons, their sales have been going up and up and it’s been incredible to document. They crossed over 61 million units sold recently and that was when they were having trouble with their production line! But now, according to Bloomberg, not only is their production line restored, they’re going to be boosting it to try and make 30 million Switches by the end of the fiscal year to satiate demand.
But wait, there’s more, while it’s natural for them to want to go and make more Nintendo Switch units for people to buy (and thus make them money), Bloomberg has also noted that Nintendo has apparently asked various 3rd party developers to make sure their titles are “4K Ready”.
Which would further boost rumors and reports that when the alleged “Nintendo Switch Pro” model comes next year, it’ll indeed have 4K graphical power. Though at this time, that’s still very much unconfirmed.
Still, it’s an exciting prospect, especially when you consider that 2021 is likely going to be stacked with 1st party titles to help welcome that new 4K Switch.
