During last month’s Bungie’s Destiny 2 Livestream, they mentioned that in the upcoming expansion, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, that the guardians will wield a new power; Stasis. While we knew about this newfound icy power, we didn’t know much about it or how it works. While we still don’t understand it all, we do at least know what it looks like thanks to the new Destiny 2: Beyond Light trailer that was shown during the July 2020 Xbox Game Showcase.
Shown throughout the trailer is just a few of the new abilities, including several looks at the new Stasis supers that will be available once the new expansion hits this Fall 2020. We also got a look at what seems to be a new weapon, that was shown briefly. I don’t know if it’s a new rifle or shotgun, but it looks to fire off some sort of stasis powered rounds. It looks exciting and I have no doubt this is likely a new exotic.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light releases on November 10th, for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. Upgraded versions of the game will also be released for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One whenever those consoles are eventually released.
