Crysis as a series is a bit of a complicated thing. And one hand, it was revered as one of the most graphically forward games out there upon its release. It was so powerful that even top of the line PC’s had to be upgraded to behold it. But, then when it came to gameplay and story…it wasn’t the greatest thing ever. Still, it had 3 games and is still held to high praise by many. And now, it’s coming back via Crysis Remastered.
The reveal was first leaked, but then it was officially announced on Twitter via Crytek and the official Crysis handle. Things only got more interesting when they revealed the teaser trailer…and announced that the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch!

Which is…curious to say the least. Because if this is a truly remastered version of the original game, then you have to wonder how it could possibly work on the Switch. Granted, the Switch can have some beautiful graphics and can play cutscenes fine, but to run at super high graphical quality, especially in handheld mode, is rather difficult. Still, it’s clear that Crytek has something up their sleeves for Crysis Remastered, otherwise they would’ve left it off the Switch platform.
