Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division have announced the release date for The Outer Worlds on the Nintendo Switch. You may remember the game was originally announced for the platform, but it didn’t have a release date.
The game will be released for the Switch on March 6th, 2020 and will be available as a boxed copy (game code only), and digital copy. I’m not quite sure why anyone would purchase the boxed version as it doesn’t include a cart – they’re both a digital copy of the game. Both versions will cost $59.99.
Now you’ll be able to take the award-winning RPG on the go with you, which could quite possibly make this my favorite version of the game. I can’t even begin to tell you how many time’s I’ve started playing, only to have the wifey or kiddos ask me to go somewhere with them. Or even better, now I can hide in the toolshed and play in peace.
There’s no word on how the game performs as we haven’t seen any footage of the game in action as of yet.
Look for The Outer Worlds on the Switch as of March 6th, 2020.
