When it came to Pokemon Sword and Shield for the Nintendo Switch, the Pokemon Company had a goal. Mainly, they were going to keep things under wraps, not wanting to showcase everything the game had to offer like they did in previous years. They were doing it rather successfully…until leakers came about just two weeks before the games’ release and literally spoiled the entire roster from Galar, many of the Gigantamax Pokemon, and more. Needless to say…the dev team wasn’t happy.
But they didn’t just go and fume on the internet, instead, they went to war. Specifically, The Pokemon Company went to court to try and find out the identities of the leakers so that they could be located and sued. Hail Mary attempt? Not so much, because a court has actually granted them this right. So they can now go to Discord and 4Chan and find the leakers and get Poke-Justice!
Whether it’s Pokemon or evil leakers, you gotta catch’em all!
