If you’ve ever played a game produced by Supergiant Games, you’d know that those games feature some of the best music to be heard in a video game musical score. Every game has managed to include an amazing selection of tracks that induce an ear orgy upon hearing them.
During PAX West 2019, the company hosted a live orchestra concert for the attendees of the event. Sadly, this was not streamed, so folks who were unable to make the event didn’t get a chance to watch or listen. Thankfully, this was all recorded and today, Supergiant Games has released the entire concert onto YouTube for all of us to enjoy.
“You’ve heard our songs, but never heard them like this! At PAX West 2019, we had our 10th Anniversary Concert, featuring composer Darren Korb, vocalist Ashley Barrett, and the Supergiant Orchestra conducted by Austin Wintory. This video contains the full performance, complete with behind-the-scenes footage. We hope you enjoy it!” — Supergiant Games
There’s a nice selection of tracks that were performed live and there’s something from every game they’ve ever produced or are working on. After listening to them all, I can’t pick my favorite as I’ve always been partial to every soundtrack so far. but if I had to choose just one, it would have to be the Bastion Medley. Though We all Become from Transistor is a very very close second.
But don’t skip to the very end to listen to that. Instead, just sit back and enjoy the entire show and then be sure to let SuperGiant Games that you appreciated the effort. Because they didn’t have to do this at all and they did because they love what they do and most importantly, they love us for loving them.
Oh, and don’t be ashamed if you sing along. You sing and you sing your hearts out!
But the fun doesn’t stop there, as they’ve also posted their live panel from PAX West 2019 as well. Check that out below.
Thanks, Supergiant Games! Thanks for being so damned awesome!
