While Borderlands 2 VR has been available on the PlayStation 4 for some time, PC gamers have wondered if and when it would come to the PC. Well, they can stop now as Gearbox announced during PAX West that Borderlands 2 VR is coming to the PC this Fall 2019.
All DLC that was included with Borderlands 2 VR will also be included.
For those wondering if this is worth it, well that depends on how much you love Borderlands 2. This isn’t just a tacked-on VR mode, but a full game built with virtual reality in mind. This game takes for the advantage of the hardware and should be impressive on that PC. Thanks to the added power that the PC and VR headsets provide.
However, while this was announced, there are still some questions that haven’t been answered. Will this be available on Steam or the Epic Games Store (or both)? There was also no mention as to what VR headsets will be supported. Currently, the PC platform has several VR headsets, from Oculus, HTC, and Valve. I’d imagine that SteamVR-compatible headsets would be supported, but nothing has been mentioned.
Still, it’s nice to see that the title is finally coming to the PC.
