While Square Enix’s E3 2019 conference doesn’t kick off until June 10, 2019, news of perhaps its biggest title has already been released. That title being Final Fantasy VII Remake, which now has a confirmed release date.
Update: Square Enix has sent over a press release that also confirms the release date.
Announced during the Final Fantasy VII: A Symphonic Reunion” concert that was held in Los Angeles, we now know that Final Fantasy VII doesn’t get released until March 3, 2020. This will be released first on the PlayStation 4. For those hoping that it will be released on other platforms, the press release Square Enix sent over, reads that other platforms haven’t been ruled out.
What’s also curious is that the press release hasn’t stated if this is still an episodal game or not. It just says March 3, 2020. We’ll find out more during Square Enix’s E3 2019 conference which live streams on June 10th, at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET
Trailers in both English and Japanese have been released, as well as a stylish key art showcasing Sephiroth amidst a burning Midgar Midgar skyline.
