Nintendo has honestly been trying to make itself a name in mobile gaming for the last few years now. They started with Super Mario Run, then came the massively popular Fire Emblem Heroes, and then Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. Add that to Niantic’s Pokemon GO and you get a recipe that has worked out rather well. And now, Nintendo has revealed that their next mobile title, Dr. Mario World is less than a month away from release!
The game’s website has gone live, and it’s there that it says the game will come on July 10th! Yeah, that’s pretty close, and it’s yet another title that Nintendo is dropping in July alongside Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and Fire Emblem Three Houses!
Along with the website, a trailer was revealed and explains much of the game. It’s truly adapting the “Super Mario World” formula of going to different stages and fighting enemies arranged in a standard Dr. Mario way. BUT, the game also adds in some Mario-like items to help you out. Including bombs, Koopa shells, and more. The game will have 5 worlds to partake in to start, with more coming via future updates.
Not to mention, there’s more than one Doctor in the house that you can call upon. So far, Mario, Luigi, Toad, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser have been revealed as playable characters. And each one has a special ability that you can partake in.
If you’re wondering about microtransactions, Dr. Mario World does have them. You can use them to buy items to help clear levels, or get Diamonds or coins to help refill stamina. You can find out more via the game trailer below:
