Thatgamecompany’s amazingly enjoyable and fan favorite, Journey, will arrive on the PC via the Epic Games Store. The port has been handled by Annapurna Interactive and the title will be released on June 6, 2019.
This isn’t a simple port as the PC version will also sport up to 4K visuals. As well as the additions from when the title was ported from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4. The multiplayer aspect is also intact, in case you were wondering.
If you’ve been following the upcoming PC release and can’t wait to get your hands on the title, it’s worth mentioning that it’s currently on sale. Thanks to the Epic Games Store Mega Sale, you can snag the title for just $5 (if you live in the US). It would seem that the discount that’s applied isn’t live everywhere.
That said if you’re conflicted about the Epic Games Store and I can’t fault you for that. Keep in mind that Journey hasn’t been confirmed to be released on any other storefront. That includes both Steam and GOG, it’s just Epic Games Store bound for now. Which means you have a discussion to make. Possibly skip out on one of the best titles the PlayStation has to offer or bit the bullet and enjoy yourself.
As for me, the decision is easy. I refuse to miss out on any game, no matter where it is. I support the devs and I enjoy games. Isn’t that what gaming is supposed to be about?
