Nintendo has already had an interesting year in regards to its console the Switch. It started 2019 strong with Super Mario Bros U Deluxe (which sold over a million copies) and Travis Strikes Back No More Heroes. Then in March came Yoshi’s Crafted World. Sadly, the console is in a bit of a drought now in terms of 1st party releases, but now, Nintendo has given us the release date for its next big title, Super Mario Maker 2.
Super Mario Maker 2 is the sequel to the beloved Wii U title that gave players the chance to make their own Super Mario levels across many graphical choices and styles. They could then upload the courses they made to the internet to see what others thought, and then download other stages too.
The sequel is promising everything to be bigger, better, more in-depth, and even greater by bringing in Luigi to the mix. Here’s the official tweet revealing the date.
Let’s-a go! Let your imagination run wild as you make and play the Super Mario courses of your dreams when #SuperMarioMaker2 launches for #NintendoSwitch on 6/28! https://t.co/TnK9rQwRJi pic.twitter.com/eSJfb7JSPj

No doubt this will be yet another title on the Nintendo Switch to be a million seller, but we’ll just have to wait for June 28th to come around.
