PlayStation’s new gaming-based live show, State of Play, takes place today at 2pm PDT/5pm EDT. You didn’t forget, did you?
This marks the first time that PlayStation has hosted a show like this, outside of the PlayStation Experience live streams. As such we’re being told that we’ll hear quite a bit of news regarding upcoming PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR titles. I’m sure we’ll also hear something about those titles that were announced some time again. Some titles such as Death Stranding and Ghosts of Tsushima.
If you’re hoping for some PlayStation 5 news, I’d say it’s a bit too early for that. But who knows, we may even find out something.
So where can you catch this show?
The State of Play will be live streamed on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter or Facebook. For those who can’t watch the show when it airs, will be able to catch up with the recordings afterward.
What am I hoping to see?
Well, that’s a loaded question. It’s been quite some time since we heard anything about Ghosts of Tsushima. That goes double for Nioh 2, which at this point I don’t even think is a real game anymore. Something about Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice stealing its thunder. I’m not too big on Death Stranding, but I’ve loved the trailers, so I hope we see another wacky one today.
Perhaps a trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man sequel that we all know that Naughty Dog is working on. Lastly, maybe a proper send-off for the PlayStation Vita. The handheld that had so much potential, but nothing really came of it. Oh, there’s just so many titles I really want to find out more about.
So just like you, I’ll have to wait to see what is in store later on today.
