Just when you thought you knew everything there was to Resident Evil 2 Remake. Capcom comes out and throws you a curve ball.
While Resident Evil 2 Remake drops this week, with reviews coming out today. It seems that Capcom has yet another surprise for the fans of the title. The classic costumes from the 1998 release of Resident Evil 2 will be available. You’ll be to swap them out for both Leon and Claire. I’m pretty sure that more than a few fans are going to be happy these costumes made it into the game.
Currently, these are part of a Japanese promo and will be available if you purchase certain items during the promo. As seen below, these costumes can be snagged thanks to a special PlayStation Points Card. Which means at least for now they’re only available for the PlayStation 4. Hopefully, they make their way to the Xbox One and PC a well.
Though it would make sense why this is being promoted for the PS4 in Japan. Resident Evil 2 debuted on the original PlayStation, and the platform is huge in Japan. However, since then the title has available on the Dreamcast, Gamecube, and even the PC.
Resident Evil 2 Remake releases this Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
