While Ashen was released onto the Xbox One earlier today, the PC version was nowhere to be found. Not on the Microsoft store, nor on Steam. Leaving many to wonder what exactly happened with the PC version. It wasn’t until later that this evening that we found out what was going on. Oh, it’s on the PC alright and it skipped the most popular PC storefront and launched on Epic Games new storefront.
Wait, you didn’t know that the store was live? Well, actually, no one did until a short time ago. Only recently announced by Epic Games, their storefront was rumored to be launching in 2019. Looks like no one told Epic that.
Ashen can be downloaded right now for $39.99. Oh, course you want to know the PC specs, so check those out below.

While I haven’t played it on the PC, I have been checking it out via Xbox Game Pass and so far I’m enjoying it. It’s a bit slow, but the RPG elements and the combat are nicely done. Dare I say it reminds me of Dark Souls... just a little bit and only the combat. The world is alive and there are more NPCs to interact with. I can’t wait to dive back into it.
However, at least now you know what’s going on with the PC version of the game. Currently, we don’t know if and when it will hit the Microsoft store or Steam. Chances are that this is a timed exclusive, so it will make to the other storefronts eventually.
