Phil Spencer wants to tackle the Microsft Store for PC
Let’s face it, if you’re a PC gamer then you know the mess that is the Windows Store. Navigating through it and finding is a chore. Not to mention the umerous issues when it comes to downloading games, among other things. To be quite honest, it’s a neverending gift that keeps making you grown every time you use it. Phil Spencer apparently is aware of this and has the storefront in his sights.
In fact, during a segment at X018, Phil Spencer was asked about the future of gaming. To which he stated he’d like to fix the Microsoft Store and make it more convenient for gamers to find gaming content. Which is a great gesture, but I’m sure the question on many PC gaming minds is; but will this happen?
The PC has long been a sore subject when it comes to Microsoft and PC gaming. The company has a constant “on and off again” relationship for a number of years. The Windows store is just another sore subject for many, including myself. That said, Phil Spencer has course-correcting a number of issues since he became the Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s gaming division. Almost single-handly fixing those the issues that have been plaguing the Xbox brand for quite some time. So if he’s that determined to get the Windows Store and PC gaming back into the forefront of Microsoft, I’m sure he can get the job done.
As long as what we get is a viable solution, I’m all ears. I just wonder when we’ll see whatever Phil has planned.
