If you were looking forward to checking our ‘Wonder Woman 84’ next year, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Gal Gadot, the actress that plays Woman, took to Twitter today and announced that the film is being delayed – until 2020. Missing the original release date of De. 13, 2018.
Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!!

Now, before you all get bent out of shape, I feel this is a good move. The DC Comics Cinematic Universe / DCEU is a mess and that’s putting it nicely. Superman’s next flick is up in the air, literally. The ‘Justice League’ didn’t do as well as DC and WB wanted it to and let’s be honest, Wonder Woman turned a lot of heads. The film did so well that I’m sure the powers that be want to replicate that success. So if that means delaying the film, I’m all for that – and you should too.
Wonder Woman 1984 is a follow-up to the popular Wonder Woman film. This time we’ll see one of WW’s main villain, Cheetah (Kristen Wiig), getting involved. And somehow, Steve Trevor’s character, played by Chris Pine, is alive. Yes, I know he died in the original film. But he’s back now, and we won’t know what’s going on until we see the film is released.
So save the date for June 5, 2020.
