Earlier in September, Microsoft announced that they were bringing back their XO events. These events were Microsoft global events where the company would announce upcoming games and other gaming-related news. The first one is scheduled to kick off this upcoming November 2018, in New Mexico.
Of course, this has people speculating on what announcements will take place during the event. Some think Microsoft will show off their upcoming next-generation Xbox. While others are banking on several unannounced 1st party games. I happen to be in that party. However, whatever is shown off or announced, we do know that Halo Infinite won’t be making a showing or talked about.
According to Brian Jarrard, the community director over at 343 Industries, Halo Infinite will be absent and nothing is being planned for X018.
I'd love to start getting more info out there, and we're talking internally about what/when/where/how, but nothing currently planned for X018.

I suppose this should be expected. While the title was announced at E3 2018, and we received a short trailer that served to show off the new Slipspace game engine. The title is likely still two years away at the latest. I imagine Microsoft and 343 Industries would rather wait until they have something substantial to show us.
Maybe we’ll see or hear something from Halo Infinite at E3 2019.
