Crunchyroll has become the place to go for streaming anime and reading simulpubs of various manga titles; however, the company still wanted to offer more to its users. During their panel at Crunchyroll Expo, they announced a brand-new Super Fan Pack subscription tier which will run you $14.99 per month, which is a little more than double of what you pay now for anime and manga.
So what are you getting for your money?
The obvious answer is everything that you’re paying for now but Crunchyroll has partnered with J-Novel Club and is adding access to their entire library of light novels for you to read at your convenience. Much like with the manga section, you can read new light novels as they are being translated! J-Novel Club has over 25 ongoing series including How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord, Infinite Dendrogram, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, In Another World with My Smartphone, and more.
That’s not the only thing you will get with the Super Fan Pack, though. You will get a subscription to the newly-launched (at least here in North America) AniUta service. AniUta brings Japanese music artists together under one spot, giving you the option to stream anime opening and ending themes from their database. Artists such as fhana, Wake Up, Girls, May’n, JUNNA, Doubutsu Biscuit x PPP, Suzuku Mimori, GRANRODEO, and many others have lent their music to the service. Currently, there are over 10,000 songs in their database.
Still want more? The Super Fan Pack also includes the Dutch PC gaming service Utomik which boasts having over 820 PC games. It’s a gaming streaming service where you download their app and play games over a streamed connection without having to download or patch them since everything is taken care of on their end.
