Who said that the 3DS was dead? Certainly not Nintendo, that’s for sure. Case in point, they’ve ported a fan favorite, Luigi’s Mansion from the Gamecube to the 3DS.
Set to be released on October 12, 2018, Luigi’s Mansion will arrive on the 3DS. Just in time for Halloween. It’s also a remake of sorts and will take advantage of the top screen, providing a map of the mansion. There’s also a new “Gallery Battle Mode” that will allow gamers to re-challenge bosses they previously defeated.
This is the second title of the series to land on the 3DS. Previously the sequel, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, was released on the 3DS in 2013.
See, neither the 3DS or Luigi is dead. Or least, not a the moment. Still, I would have rather the game been remade for the Switch. There’s no way I’m carrying two portable Nintendo systems around with me.
