Remember when Capcom said that Monster Hunter World was coming to the PC, and then pushed it way back until nearly the end of 2018? Well, if you’re like me, you sorta remember it. Then promptly gave up all hope for the game. I mean, waiting for a game that’s releasing nearly a year after the console version dropped will do that. However, Capcom still hasn’t forgotten about us and has announced that on July 9th, they’ll be releasing info on the game.
In a recent tweet, they’ve stated that this info will be released at 9 AM PDT/12 PM EDT on July 9th. Which leads me to believe that this is either going to be some sort of sponsored article or quite possibly a stream. At the minimum, we’ll find out what specs our PCs will need to run the game. As well as what platforms the game will be available on and finally, the release date.
#MHWorld PC version details inbound: Monday, July 9th @ 9am PT / 5pm BST

Monster Hunter World was originally released on Jan. 26, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game has received several updates and events so far, while the PC version has yet to be released. As someone who was looking forward to the PC release of MHW, the delay has frustrated me to no end. Especially since now the console versions are doing so well, what will happen to the PC version?
While many of us are still waiting on the PC version, most had given up and gone with the console versions. Now that we’re finally getting a release date for the PC, will those people come back? What about their progression? Can that be transferred over to the PC? Lastly, cross-platform play, will it be included (my gut says no).
Stay tuned for July 9th, 2018, where we hopefully get the answers to these questions and more. While you’re waiting, why not check out our review of Monster Hunter World on the PlayStation 4.
