It’s been a long time coming
It’s been pretty rough for PC gamers. Not only have many had their GPU’s taken away by miners, but they’re constantly had their dreams of console-exclusive games dashed. However, it looks like Sega is helping to make some of those dreams a reality by announcing that Yakuza 0 (as is Yakuza Kiwami and Valkyria Chronicles) are heading to the PC!
But that’s not all!
In addition to the Yakuza series finally making the jump to the PC, Sega announced that Yakuza 0 will also support several features that the consoles don’t. Namely 4K support, so all you with your super fancy 4K monitors can enjoy it the highest resolution. Then there’s the mention of an uncapped frame rate as well. Yep, no caps to keep you down if you got enough power under the hood and a monitor to release the frame rate.
Huge news indeed, as Yakuza is a huge title. Sure in the West, but more so in Japan. And you usually don’t see many of those games making it the PC. Or least you didn’t, as the past two years have been game changers and a number of niche titles have been making the PC their new home.
Yakuza 0 will arrive on the PC on August 1, 2018. With any luck and a boatload of sales, hopefully, we’ll see the rest of the series on the PC. While you’re here, why not check out our review of Yakuza 0 on the PS4 here.
