In a surprise announcement, a sequel to the surprise hit puzzle platformer Unravel was revealed at EA’s pre-E3 event EA Play. Unravel Two introduces a local co-op mode, and most surprisingly, it is available for download now. Unravel released in 2016 from indie studio Coldwood Interactive and has you play as Yarny, a yarn creature that uses strings to manipulate its surroundings and solve puzzles.
Here’s the trailer for Unravel Two:
The sequel adds a local co-op mode where a blue Yarny is playable. From the demo, it seems Unravel Two can be played in a single-player mode where both creatures are controllable. Or, players can team up with their friends in its local co-op mode and explore and progress through levels. Players can alternate between single-player and co-op modes easily throughout the campaign. Additionally, expect more platformer elements in addition to puzzle gameplay.
The full game is available now for download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $19.99.
