News
Little in the way of news this week, but I guess we can all just be glad that means there hasn’t been any drama.
Roster Changes
This week the roster changes are actually staff. The Florida Mayhem has added former Flex player yeHHH as an assistant coach and analyst. Also in the Atlantic Division, the NYXL and Bearhands part ways. Bearhands was the Director of Player Personnel for the NYXL. No word yet on the reason for his departure or future endeavors.
VOD of the Week
Philadelphia Fusion (17-11) vs. Shanghai Dragons (0-28)
We’ve talked at length about the way that the Overwatch league community reacted to the Dragons taking Philly to a map five, but the game itself is worth watching. From the Dragons defense on Junkertown to the Fusion’s dominance on Oasis. These games show some of the most exciting Overwatch the League has to offer
Series of the Week
Boston Uprising (20-8) vs. Los Angeles Valiant (17-11)
Boston is undefeated in this stage. Only two games separate them from being the first Overwatch League team to have a perfect stage and both of those games are against an LA team. Of the two the Valiant look to give the Uprising more trouble. Despite narrowly defeating the Gladiators a few weeks back they’re map record, +13 in the stage, speaks for itself. For the Valiant, this win would help secure their spot in the stage playoffs so the stakes are high for them too. They’re other game this week is against the Fusion which while not easy, won’t be nearly as tough.
