Far out! Wyld Stallyns are coming back for one more adventure in Bill & Ted 3, and we mean the original versions. Yes, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winters will be reprising their roles from the first two flicks for the thrilling third act.
This final installment, currently going under the title of Bill & Ted Face the Music, will look at the lives of Ted “Theodore” Logan and Bill S. Preston Esq. a full 27 years after the end of Bogus Journey. They now have jobs and families, but no hit single that is going to change the world. And as such, the universe itself begins to break apart, and they are warned if they don’t write a song to bring balance to everything, then it’s, like, totally the end of everything. So, they do what they always do – go on a time traveling adventure (with their daughters in tow) to finally make the music they were destined to make.
Original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon wrote the screenplay, with Dean Parisot, best known of Galaxy Quest, is confirmed to direct. The movie is currently in production, though there’s no premiere date set yet. No other cast has been announced yet.
“We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again. Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm, we’ve got a dream team,” said Reeves and Winter in a joint statement.
