With all the hype Microsoft seems to be attempting to manufacture for Sea of Thieves, one would forget that there was supposed to be a third entry into the Crackdown series. The last time we heard anything was when they announced that Crackdown 3 will be available on Xbox Game Pass in January, and before that was the August 2017 announcement that Crackdown 3 was delayed to Spring 2018. Thanks to BlackBeltGaming on Twitter, we finally got something concerning CrackDown 3 from the Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer.
We have a plan and team is locked in on their date. We will talk about it more upcoming but wait won't be too long.

While it is good that we have some kind of answer regarding Crackdown 3, it still doesn’t cure Xbox gamers of their uneasiness concerning the game. The reception to the showing that we received at E3 was widely disappointing, and the silence surrounding the title did it no favors. While there are many games that have done the same thing, this is more concerning. Crackdown 3 is one of the few first-party titles that Microsoft has, and the decisions that have been made in the last few years have left many Xbox loyalists questioning if they should abandon what they consider to be a quickly sinking ship.
While doubt does exist when it comes to the future of Microsoft exclusives, the writing on the wall when it comes to Crackdown 3 will only become clearer with patience from the Xbox community. After all, sometimes, good things come to those who wait.
