The Nintendo Switch had a fantastic 2017, but many have noted that 2018 hasn’t been as kind so far. There have been releases, yes, but none of a grand scale, with the exception of maybe the Bayonetta games. However, that will change this Friday when Kirby Star Allies arrives on the Switch.
As the first 1st party game of the Switch’s second year (which started March 3rd), Kirby has a lot to live up to. Early reviews are painting it as a very fun Kirby game, so that’s encouraging. For those who don’t know, Kirby Star Allies puts you back in the role of the adorable Star Warrior, but this time, you’re able to recruit enemies to join your team.
Once you do, you’ll be able to do special combo attacks, and even do 4-character abilities that can help you solve puzzles to save the day! Add to that, you can play the game with AI, or team up with your friends via Co-Op!
