A job listing at a Japanese job search website may suggest remasters of Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War and Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War in a story broken by Gematsu early Monday morning.
According to Japanese job website Mid-Tenshoku, the software quality assurance company who hosted this listing is looking for someone with consumer game project management experience for the purpose of director assistance/planner support.
Requirements
- Experience in managing a team of at least 15 people for a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One multiplatform project, or equivalent debugging management experience.
- Someone who can understand the client’s intentions and communicate well.
- Someone who can keep up attendance.
Preferred
Someone with deep knowledge of the PS2 titles Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, and Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. (For example, someone who can have a discussion such as, ‘the content of mission [blank] in Ace Combat 04 was like this,’ ‘it was / is cleared like this,’ etc.)
As indicated in the post, all three of these titles are PS2 releases, with AC04 releasing in 2001, and AC5 and Zero releasing towards the later stages of the PS2’s lifespan in 2004 and 2006 respectively. It is to note that Ace Combat 7 is still slated for release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam later this year, so if a projection were to be made, these remasters of the Ace Combat series wouldn’t see a retail release until as early as 2019.
