We here at the Outerhaven want you to know us not only for our passions surrounding gaming, tech, television, movies, anime, manga, etc. Every week we’re going to deliver to you a list of videos we have been checking out while cyberloafing the internet. It gives you a chance to see another side to us, one that isn’t focused on covering the latest news or reviews. While this list will be largely safe for work, we must warn against things that may incite any phobias that you may have. Enjoy!
James’s Pick:
If you didn’t watch all 10 hours of Jeff Kaplan’s Yule Log stream, and why would you? This video has all the highlights.
Sara’s Pick:
I usually put trailers like this in our weekly entertainment round-up, but I think this trailer needs it own shout out for the pure insanity. The premise is simple – what if one day all the parents in the world tried to murder their kids in some sort of rage-fueled frenzy? Better yet, who do you cast? Nic Cage, of course! The sheer madness of the trailer is enough to get me, and I’m sure a lot of you, hyped for this movie. Even if it’s bad (and it could very well be a train wreck) this trailer promises one hell of a ride, and I want a ticket.
Will’s Pick:
Since it was revealed to be the opening to Code Vein, I just got hooked to VAMPS Underworld . Maybe it is the simple edginess of the song and the theme for the game, but it really gets you in the angst mood. “We fight, we drink blood, we get revived, and we fight again…you almost forget that we were once human.” In dark times, in reality or in fiction, you can’t help but to think if there aren’t monster already. Plus with the lyrics of “We All Love to Hate, Nobody Needs A Reason.” hits close to home in today’ society. Even through the trails, there is a chance for renewal with the line of “You can be something special, You can be something more.” Plus the group VAMPS is great who has visited New York once during Comicon. So if you want to support Code Vein or just want a song that puts you in that angsty mood, put this on your list.
That’s all for week’s roundup. Tune back in next week to see what we are sharing next!
