Hiromi Tsuru, best known for her role as Bulma in Dragonball, has passed away at the age of 57. According to her agency, Aoni Production, Tsuru passed away from aortic dissection. The agency also stated that her family will be holding a private funeral for her.
In anime, Tsuru also voiced Dokin-chan from Soreike! Anpanman (to which their agency is looking for a replacement for the Anpanman Christmas special), Madoka Ayukawa from Kimagure Orange Road, Ukyo Kuonji from Ranma 1/2, Meryl Strife from Trigun, Kiddy Phenil from Silent Mobius and Trinity in the Animatrix shorts among many other characters.
