Deadpool 2, the sequel to the 2016 blockbuster which wrapped filming on October 15, 2017; has already begun it’s marketing push ahead of it’s mind-2018 release date. Of course the whole thing begins with the wrap being announced by Deadpool himself, Ryan Rynolds, via the post below on his Instagram account which shows Rynolds with a lot of people who helped make the film happen.
Following on from the wrap announcement, things have gotten a little bit crazy in a way that only Deadpool would understand. The first thing to surface just before or around the wrap announcement was this official poster reveal featuring Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Cable (Josh Brolin) getting ready to slice up a Thanksgiving Turkey at a table surrounded with the characters Domino (Zazie Beetz), Weasel (T.J. Miller), the walking silver penis… I mean… Colossus (Stefan Kapicic), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) and Dopinder (Karan Soni).
Following on from this we had the reveal of a special edition of Good Housekeeping will be done featuring Deadpool not only on the cover as you can see below, but also featuring more antics from the loud mouth assassin himself featured within. This special printing is rumored to be given away at select theaters when Deadpool hits in mid-2018, so make sure you get a copy… or maybe hope they put in into the special edition of the home release whenever they get around to that… Or just take a look at the scans thanks to the people over at Collider.
The final thing, as you can see above is the official teaser trailer for Deadpool 2 that was revealed today via Youtube. In the teaser you see Deadpool dressed as legendary painter Bob Ross, doing what Bob did best: Painting landscapes. Of course this being Deadpool there are more than a few adult references made in the way he paints and the methodology he uses too. You do get to see some clips from the movie itself too, including the first look at Cable’s metallic arm.
Deadpool 2 is going to be released by 20th Century FOX Entertainment on June 1, 2018. The first Deadpool movie got a rating of 5 stars from The Outerhaven, the review of which you can read here.
