GameStop is expected to announce an additional paid membership above their ‘Pro’ membership. The ‘Elite Pro’ membership will cost $59.99/year and includes benefits such as discounts on pre-owned games and accessories, extra trade-in credit, free 2-day shipping, and more. Elite Pro will have all the benefits of the Pro membership and more.
The news comes courtesy of Cheap Ass Gamer, which points out GameStop is likely competing with Amazon Prime and Best Buy’s GCU membership. However, if this is the case, it is interesting that the Elite Pro membership appears to have no discounts on pre-orders or new games.

The membership is currently in the beta phase, and only a select few stores are participating. You can see the full list of Elite Plus benefits below, compared to the other memberships offered.
Also note that there is a discrepancy between the beta and the images from Cheap Ass Gamer. The message from Cheap Ass Gamer states there is a 20% discount on used games and accessories, and 20% extra trade-in credit. The membership beta only lists a 15% discount and bonus, which is less than that of Amazon and Best Buy’s discounts. We’ll have to wait for GameStop’s official announcement to know the full details of Elite Plus. If the message is correct, certain stores will start offering Elite Plus on September 13, continuing until all stores offer the membership on October 18.
